I love this image of Tyler! I have known this dog for as long as I can remember. He belongs to my uncle, but has been int he family for around about 16 years (If I recall correctly). Fond memories of when my uncle first got him as a pup!
I often try to get some nice photo’s of Tyler when I get the chance. This instance I had plenty of time as I was looking after him for a few days. Perfect bonding time with the pup! He really is lovely. Not the stereotypical ‘EAT-YO-FACE-OFF’ kind of staffy. Just a normal, beautiful and excitable dog!
That is often the case with photographing animals (and even small children), is that they tend to get too excited, and or unwilling to cooperate when you shove a camera in their face. SO for this image, It took a while to get him settled enough to hold still for a few seconds. I recommend shooting some stills of animals other than your own, that you spend the most time with. It’s a completely different ball game, and great to be prepared for it should you ever have to do it for work in the future!
