Woohoo! My family surname printed onto a piece of machinery. I can’t believe it has taken me this long to capture this.
Obviously this image isn’t visually captivating, the whole reason I shot this image was to capture the name, on the machinery. That is the Subject. There isn’t anything particularly interesting in the scene, although I did frame the shot to make sure the left upright was square with the frame, and there was some nice greenery int he background.
Shot at F1.8 to get rid of that background as much as possible, making it a big ol’ bokeh’y mess.
Bumped up the clarity a considerable amount, whilst grading this image, as it gives a really dense, and harsh beaten up feel to the paint work on this machine. Which in turn, reflects the hundreds if not thousands of hours work this beast has done, having been passed down generation to generation.
It’s as simple as that!
