So what is the ‘Daily Fifty’?
The Daily Fifty will consist of a post-per-day to my Blog, in which I will include an image taken specifically with a 50mm Lens. I will describe what I see in the image, and what I wanted to convey. As well as what settings and why I used them for the more technical minded. This whole idea is designed to be a laid back, enjoyable and creatively motivating process to get my brain thinking about images and composition even more!
What’s this in aid of?
Somewhat inspired by the ‘Daily Dose Of Imagery’ photographed by Sam Javanrouh of http://wvs.topleftpixel.com. Sam has been posting images on a daily basis for a long time now, and his site has been on my bookmarks bar for as long as I can remember. I have seen some of the greatest, and some of the not so great! Which is all the more inspiring I think.
I wanted to start a daily image ‘share’ for myself, and thought this would be a fantastic way of doing it, and also staying motivated! I chose daily, because I honestly don’t think I shoot enough, or at least as much as I’d like to! So this would help aid that by a long shot.
Why the 50mm lens?
I chose Daily ‘Fifty’ because I find the Canon 50mm 1.4 on my camera more than any others I own. I simply love using it! It produces lovely clean and sharp images, and the range you get with it on a full frame camera is just perfect for me.
Overtime (as I am confident in continuing this adventure for many months/years to come) I will hope to shoot on many different camera bodies, possibly even other than Canon. Currently I only own Canon, but this may change over time. Only time will tell.
The 50mm 1.4 on a full frame sensor is an absolute dream come true for me, so I would like to share that with you! I hope you enjoy!
